Mikhail Dorozhkin was born in Samara, raised in an ordinary Soviet family: his parents worked at a factory, lived in an industrial area of the city. Since childhood, Mikhail has been fond of animals. When I was little, I did not miss a single homeless animal – I dragged everyone home. The parents didn’t mind. They always treated their son with understanding. And they did not scold him even when they were going to expel him from school more than once for the parody of teachers and for antics in the classroom. At school he played on the basketball team, but later he had to forget about sports. At the age of sixteen, having received a certificate, Dorozhkin went to conquer the capital – to enter the Higher Theater School. Shchukin. In addition, Mikhail worked on television: In 1998-2000, he was the host of the talk show “Most-Most” on the STS channel; in 2000-2003 hosted the talk show “Bitter!” on the TVC channel; in 2003 he was the host of the AvtoVAZ lottery on REN TV; in 2002-2004 Dorozhkin was invited to host the program “Life in Russia” on the British channel BBC.
Mikhail Dorozhkin’s film career is also developing successfully. The very first film was “What a wonderful game” by Pyotr Efimovich Todorovsky (1995), then in 1996 he played Prince Alexander in the film by A. Zguridi “Lisa and Eliza” and was noted by critics and viewers. Director Nikolai Lebedev specially for Dorozhkin finished the role in “The Admirer” (1999). In “Quiet Whirlpools” by Eldar Ryazanov, the actor played a small but striking role of the son of Academician Kashtanov, papa’s son (2000).
