No matter what industry you work in (education, corporate, government, or any other), the value of recording your Zoom meetings remains the same. Zoom records can be used to share content, remember information, and help build on previous lessons. In this article you will learn how to record zoom meeting? Some examples of great things you can do with Zoom content include:

  • Sharing the results of a town hall or an annual general meeting with a large audience
  • Sharing a webinar with attendees or subscribers who were unable to do so
  • Build internal training for future employees, customers, or partners
  • Collecting pieces for creative or commercial purposes
  • To facilitate conference discussions with the appropriate party

How to record if you are a guest

Recording as a performer is the simplest and most straightforward way. Less to the point of not having pre-planning requirements unless you want to change specific plans.

Once you start a meeting, you can start recording at any time. When you are a developer, the ‘Record’ button will appear on the menu bar, near the center-right. It will be accompanied by the concentric circle icon. Press this button once to start recording.

If you are silent when you start recording recording, you will have the option to download and record audio, or remain silent recording without audio. Once the recording is started, you will notice two changes:

  • Formerly the ‘Record’ button is now two separate buttons. These buttons are either ‘Stop’ or ‘Stop’ to record. Pause recording allows you to restart later, all within that recording file. Stopping the recording means it will be completely gone, and if you click ‘Record’ again, it will create a new file. Normally, you will need to click ‘Stop’ to save the recording to a single file.
  • In the upper left corner, you will see a red one. This is available whenever you record. Next to the red dot, you can also find some ‘Stop’ and ‘Stop’ buttons with the same purpose as above.
  • Note: If you end the session anytime you are a performer, the recording will also stop. By default, the recording is stored on your computer whenever the recording stops.

Recording method if you have permission to receive

Recording with the permission of the recipient is almost the same if you are the owner. There are a few ways to actually get a permit:

  • A friend can give you permission in advance by adding you as a host.
  • The recipient may change your authorization during the meeting.

You can click “Share Screen” to promote the request to become a partner, which the first host may allow. The “Share screen recorder Windows 10” button is found everywhere on the Zoom menu for everyone in meetings, but inevitably, only guests can use this feature. So, when you try to use a form, it asks for a higher level of authorization from the owner.

Once you have access to the “Share Screen,” you are also given the opportunity to record at this advanced authorization level. The “Record” button will appear, and you can follow the steps as if you were the recipient.

How to record if you do not have permission to receive

Without permission to receive, there is currently no way to start recording in Zoom. In this case, you will need to upgrade third-party tools that can do it with your screen recorder. Tools will vary greatly in price, features, and the way they integrate.

On the other hand, some tools can record everything that happens on your display, whether in Zoom call or switch to other tabs. This can be useful when recording demo videos for clients, but it may not be appropriate in all cases.

Alternatively, you can choose the recording method that is not on your computer, such as a nearby microphone that can capture audio from the phone.

Although there are many third-party responses to choose from, please keep in mind that any program not delivered directly through Zoom may not provide a warning to attendees that they are being recorded. For privacy reasons, always keep track of your entrants when they are being recorded, and notify them through the platform.
